Previously, I'd bought the lighter weight kettle cover to save a few bucks. Since our Weber stays outdoors on the deck and gets used all winter in a northern climate, the vinyl invariably turned stiff and brittle and would eventually crack, even if handled with kid gloves. This cover is not only significantly heftier, but it remains flexible even when I need to remove and replace it on a 10-above day, so I'm guessing it will have a much longer life. Now if only they could remove the ugly, large logo; I really don't need to advertise my preferred brand of cooker to everyone passing by.
