My first use of these was to catch a feral cat in my house, so I can vouch that they are pretty robust. I then had to wash them, colour didn't appear to run so pretty good. I bought them to use in the house because of the length, which is nearer the elbows than many others. I have small hands and slim arms so they're a bit baggy and not as fitting as I'd like but that's a normal problem for me so I'd say they fit they average large/medium hand very well.
