I thought that I would write a contents list for this product because I know that it is missing from the description and also that it would have really benefited me when choosing which kit to buy.
Here goes:
Snap Knife
Firestarter (can be used in conjunction with knife and cotton wool)
Wire Saw
Sewing Kit
Candle
Small button compass
Fishing Kit (three hooks)
Matches
Whistle
10 x Water Purification tablets
Signalling mirror (built into lid of box and good for signalling only, if you want a shaving mirror get a separate wash kit)
Pencil
Safety Pins
Snare Wire
Cotton Wool
Accident Report Form
Survival Instructions (not very good).

A good piece of kit. Maybe not the best one. But certainly a very good one. Lots of useful stuff inside. But as most people will tell you...You'll find stuff in all kits that may seem useless to you & the types of enviroment you'll be working in.
Iv used most of it. But sometimes in non-survival related events. Like using the matches to light a mates cigarette. Not exactly survival but it was handy to have! FYI, the matches don't stay alight for very long, like 1.5 seconds not very long. Good all rounder. & you'll be able to use it as a basic to building your own.

Excellent quality item.
All equipment packs away neatly into a sturdy case.
Prior to buying this kit I noticed anoter customer review which described the mirror as only good for signalling, the mirror in the kit I received is a really good quality mirror (as are the other items) with a protective film over it which can be peeled off before use.
Really impressed with this item, especially since it also contains a fire steel and knife which is an added bonus. It is a really neat little kit and takes up very little space it take up in your pack.

the knife is awful
The knife snapped, the wiresaw tangles to easy and the box broke. there is nothing here that is excellent quality but I only paid 6 quid for it so I was not expecting much.

Ok
Dont normaly use these kits myself but my little cuz asked me to give it a trial i still wouldnt use it but would make the perfect peice of kit for rookie survivalist
