This cord is perfect for what I want it for, that is camping in a survival situation. I find the genuine paracord with it's seven internal strands is too expensive to cut up and use for temporary jobs and I don't normally need that much strength. When I do I can easily double or triple it up. All in all a good reasonably priced product.

So, is this paracord or some alternative? I don't know. I'm not qualified to know.
However it does support my plants very well indeed. Whatever your use may be (and I hazard it will be far more heavy duty than mine), I recommend it for around the garden use as it's strong and blends in.

This is very good heavy duty cord, but its not the real mcoy, proper paracord has the 7 inner strands, this has just nylon fabric of some sort, still strong stuff though.

the cord itself seems strong, though isn't paracord. the spool which it comes on is also extremely flimsy, and seeing as there is no way to secure the cord end i would recommend... Read more

Does what it says on the tin

Good but not Heavy Duty!
As other reviewers may have mentioned, this is NOT the sort of cord you would want on a parachute, but these days I tend to sit in planes rather than jump out of them. Read more

Not the good stuff
The Good Stuff is the Para Cord US tested to 550 poounds with 7 white strands in the middle. I wouldn't be jumping out of a plane with this stuff I'd tell you that much.
