"Most design books are about making your web site pretty. Others are about understanding the technical aspects. Web Design for ROI is the rare book that focuses on your web site doing what you want it to: make you money."
--  Bryan Eisenberg, bestselling author of Call to Action

"Filled with practical design tips proven to increase conversion rates and improve your online results."
-- Jeff Hackett, SVP, Online Sales, Wachovia

"The techniques are practical and easy to understand, and the strategic, ROI-based approach has won over senior management."

I enjoyed this book very much. It was easy to read, giving clear to understand examples. It draws attention to the main points for achieving web design for ROI, which makes the book good for reference. However it does not provide extensive how-to, rather it is food for thought and issues to draw ones attention.
The book is for everyone who contributes to the creation of a web site. Programmers and designers will not find any technical tips, but rather a better understanding of what a "selling web site" is. Managers might find it useful in understanding why designer has made a particular solution/layout/images of the site. So all in all, havind this book might help all paties (management vs designers or management vs programers etc etc) to understand each other better.

This is a great book and I will recommend it in the future without a doubt.

If only these topics had been discussed when I was studying at University!

It would have made a massive difference!

As a web designer/developer, I found this book saying so many right things. I think any business with a website important to them should read this book and all web designers/developers should do their best to educate their clients to the principles contained within.

I felt much of the latter half of the book was very focused on ecommerce sites, so won't be useful to everyone, although the more general first-half makes the book worth buying in itself.
