All I wanted was a simple to set up and use weather station, that gave me an acurate indoors and outdoors temperature. What I got was that a little bit more to boot! The weather boy is pretty much ready to use out of the box. Plug in the batteries to the outside transmitter then the main unit, separate by a couple of meters and hey presto they're talking to each other. No wires no fuss. Four screws later and both units were affixed in place. The atomic clock took a bit more time to find it's feet or should I say hands :-), but eventually GMT was located. What else is thrown in? Well you get a humidity reading and a little figure suggesting how you should dress. As we live in England parents need not concern themselves that the bloke will strip off completely. All in all for the price an excellent buy. Why not five stars? It doesn't do the washing up!

This weather station does not take itself too seriously. In fact it is fun to use.It is quite accurate as far as the temps. indoor and out and the predictions so far have been right. (Better than the TV forcasts for Scotland!)with added fun seeing the weatherboy put on his overcoat, hat and gloves these chilly mornings. A great buy for anyone of any age group. Best thing I've bought in a long time.

if you want one of these weather stations would recomend this one does the job and a bit of a laugh with the wee man coat on and off.

I purchased this item on the 7/01/2011 as a birthday present for my son in law due in Feb. It completely failed on 10/04/ 2012. A working life of 14 months.What a waste of money
