3.0 out of 5 stars For the US market, 20 May 2005
By A Customer
I had high hopes of this book. It has a fab title, a fab pic on the front (and the cashmere jumper on the cover actually has a touchy feely element to it). However, although it is quite good fun (oh how I would love to have time to grow orchids in my bathroom!), and would be a good gift for a lady you know who doesn't spend enough time on herself, it is very Americanised. Some of Jennifer's suggestions as to how to find luxury involve shopping in places I have never heard of, and she also refers to celebrities I only have a vague knowledge of. This for me detracts from the overall value of the book to the UK princesses. That said, it is worth a read, but India Knight's "The Shops" is a better bet in my view.
