5.0 out of 5 stars A very good buy., 7 Jun 2007
By H. L. Krantz - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Weapon (Military) (Hardcover)
The reason why I rated this book five stars, is because it encompasses every era of weaponry. Not only does it have amazing pictures and photography, but it also covers the warriors of each era that used the weapons in good detail, to complement it's sister book 'battle'. if there was a problem it would be that in the modern weapons section, some more common firearms should have been included e.g. the m-16A2 and the H&K G-36 etc. However, the weapon showcase sections are fabulous and give good insight into that paricular weapon and its history for those of you who are curious. and anyway to be able to pick this book up for around £15 on amazon, when everyone else charges the full £25 it has to be the worthy addition to the bookshelf of anyone who is even remotely interested in this subject.

By Connie (Scotland) - See all my reviews
I purchased this book for my 11 year old son who found it on an amazon search. He finds it informative and very interesting. He has recommended it to his classmates who also share the same interest in Military and weaponry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Weapon development, 11 Jul 2009
By Mr. J. Brown (Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A "coffe table" book giving a useful pictorial guide to the development of weaponry. Showcases man's ability to devise ever more fiendish ways to harm each other. Useful trail of the ingenuity and engineering used in the pursuit of a "better" weapon (is there such a thing?)Well presented with many examples of the full spectrum of weapons from stone clubs to machine guns. For those interested this is a valuable quick guide to weapons through the ages.
