4.0 out of 5 stars Good Fun! 23 Dec. 2009
By Judy Mc
Edition:Dual Mic Bundle
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is great fun to play with friends at parties etc. there are 30 songs to choose from and there is sure to be something for everyone. the reason i gave it 4 stars though is that after you have played it a few times the songs can get a bit more repetitive. hopefully an upgrade pack or something will come out that you can add on songs. Easy to set up you litterally just plug in your mics and sing, everything you need comes in the pack. the majority of the songs have the orginal videos with the exception of one or two. All in all a great game that will see you through the festive period!

2.0 out of 5 stars Its ok! But i wouldnt recommend it! 25 Dec. 2010
Edition:Dual Mic Bundle
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Well i bought the game shortly after getting the wii! Ive always wanted a 'Sing star type of game' and this was the best karaoke game out at the time! (roughly a year ago).

The sound quality on the microphones is ridiculous. Not only is it delayed by half a second (so you have to sing in advance to the lyrics on the screen to get awarded points!), the actual sound quality isn't good either! Plus you still have the original vocals in the background. Not really karaoke in my eyes!

I was also very disappointed in the lack of online functionality! I figured this is the kinda game that would thrive on the ability to download new tracks etc. But no! Your limited to the restricted number of tracks on the cd!

The interface is ok, ive seen better but ive also seen alot worse! To me this game seems like it was rushed, the game studio rushed it to try make it the first karaoke game on the wii. In doing so i think they've missed out on so many potential selling points that its made it a real disappointment.

Being honest, ive played the game 3/4 times since i bought it a year ago. I get more enjoyment sitting at my pc and singing to karaoke songs off you tube!

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable if you don't have a PS3 and Singstar! 6 Jun. 2010
By Cath
Edition:Dual Mic Bundle
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Having had a blast at a friends over new year playing on Singstar, I was looking for something for the Wii. (Couldn't justify buying a PS3 just for Singstar!)
This We Sing bindle is pretty good value with 2 microphones included and best of all, I liked the diverse bunch of songs. Of course music preferences are very subjective, but oldies like Delilah, 80s classics Hungry Like the Wolf and Every breath you Take, and more recent ones like Poker Face and Vida la Vida were what made me buy it.

In practice, the game is limited. You can only hear yourself through the tv if you turn it up loud and the there is a delay which makes it pretty hopeless. Much better to just watch the bars onscreen to hit the right notes. This is a bit annoying. I was disappointed to see you can't download any other songs and not sure if there is another booster pack of new songs - which would be good.

The game is best with a bunch of people, and preferably some alcohol! It livened up our family BBQ, although my brother (who owns a PS3) is considering SingStar which I think is a superior karaoke game. For Wii owners, this is fun!

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Having played Singstar, I was disappointed last year when there wasn't a similar game for my Wii. I bought this bundle and was surprised that, although we could sing and get points, we couldn't hear our voices through the microphones. I then bought the We Sing Encore game and when I put that in, it updated my Wii, and now we can hear our voices.
It's good fun. The only reason I've not given it 5 stars is because it shows when you're singing the right notes, but if you're not, you don't know whether you're singing too high or too low, (Singstar does show this).

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected 2 Jan. 2010
By Zompi
Edition:Dual Mic Bundle
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Bought this as an impulse buy just before Christmas. Great fun so long as you don't expect a pub karaoke type experience. The mics pick up your voice and 'score' you against pitch and timing (represented graphically on screen - along with a music video), but you won't hear your voice booming from your sound system (which was probably just as well in my case!).

It's limited in the number of songs, and you could bash through them fairly quickly ('rude' words have been blanked out of song lyrics - only the odd word affected eg. once in Lily Allen's song, I guess it's to 'protect' youngsters, but adults will have no difficulty in adding in the missing word!)

The different game modes e.g/ solo, teams etc does keep interest goind, though it's a shame that there is no option to add more songs.

If you want to upgrade to 4 mics I would recommend searching on Amazon for other Logitech Vantage usb mics that are cheaper than the official packaged version. I bought two which said they were for the Playstation console, but they worked absolutely fine with the Wii and were half the price of the official ones.

Now that Christmas is over, I suspect this game might be dusted off only very occasionally unless other songs are brought out. However, definitely worth of four stars of fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great buy 3 Jan. 2010
Edition:Dual Mic Bundle
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Having loved Xbox and PS versions at friends houses, I was waiting for Wii to get on the game and I was not disappointed. There are a good range of songs for most ages, though those under 10 may struggle with some of them. Check the song list before you buy but on the whole I recommend it. Hopefully, Wii will have the capacity to offer downloadable songs in the near future!
