This band were on the bill when Motorhead, The Lords Of The New Church and Magnum appeared on a TV show called ECT in 1984. Managed to get tickets and went along, the only TV show I've ever been involved with.
At the time, Madam X had been featured in some of the music papers, and most if not all the interest was generated due to the two sisters on guitar / vocals and the drums.
Madam X were on last, and they went off-air at the prescribed time as far as the TV viewer's were concerned. However, in the studio, they kept playing and the camera's kept filming, supposedly as footage for a video they were going to release?
Well, they may be 'hair-rock' and they may be American, and they may have a female lead singer who goes on stage dressed much like she is on this album cover, but THEY ROCKED! So much so, (and I feel like Victor Kiam on the Remington ads, who went out and bought the company), I went out and bought their album, on vinyl, no less.
And with the album still in the collection, I played it again and yes, this band still rock, so I am very pleased to see it has been remastered and re-released on CD. The track listing is the same so I have no 'Bonus Tracks' or the ECT video on a 'Bonus DVD' to encourage me to buy it again, but never mind, it's a darned good rocking album as it stands, and 24 years later, it still does!
