5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible 2 July 2012
By CJT1981
Format:Audio CD
There are no 'filler' tracks, all the songs are original aside of a beautiful cover of Waterloo Sunset. The album feels like a love story: from the toe tapper that is 'We Should Kiss' to sensitive heartbreak of '(That's The Way It Crumbles) Cookiewise'. I downloaded this as soon as Amazon would allow and it's been on repeat ever since. Move aside Cullum and Connick Jr, there's a new kid in town.

Joe is back on stellar form with this CD and should take him to the top of the Jazz Charts.

An awseome CD which all music enthusiasts should have in their collection and please go and and buy, you won't be disappointed.

Would probably give it 6 Stars if it was possible, a glorious CD and a worthy successor to 'I liked this one'.

This album contains some Joe classics and I absolutely love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ready for prime time 3 July 2012
Format:Audio CD
A few years after his first album (which was mostly standards), here's a more rounded, slightly more commercial album which should finally put Joe Stilgoe on the map. Some beautiful ballads on here (Chestnut Tree, Waterloo Sunset) as well as some lively, fun upbeat stuff (We Should Kiss, I Like This One). Cut from the same cloth as Jamie Cullum and Michael Buble, he is a fantastic live performer and whilst the album doesn't quite showcase his talents as well as his gigs, he is definitely worthy of the attention he is now getting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous 2 July 2012
Format:Audio CD
I'm not always the biggest fan of Jazz, having grown up listening to a lot of rock music but this was fantastic. After accompanying a friend to see Joe live in London it was incredibly refreshing to see someone who not only has incredible talent but could be a stand up comedian with his wit and charm! Love the album, love the single, big thumbs up!!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT album! 3 Aug 2012
Format:MP3 Download|Verified Purchase
This is terrific; Joe Stilgoe is SO talented - wonderful piano playing and a great voice.....far better than Jamie Cullum. He writes good stuff too - all in all this album is worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome album 2 July 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Having had the pleasure of seeing Joe perform live a number of times, I was super excited to hear about the launch of his new album. Well it arrived this morning and I simply love it - not stopped playing it since! He's got supernatural powers on the piano, and a silky voice to match his cape. Amazing. Waterloo Sunset and We Should Kiss are my current favourites. Buy this album, you will love it.

Love this cd. What a find. Superb singer in the mould of Sinatra and Buble. Not a bad song on this cd. I will certainly be looking out for more albums by Joe Stilgoe.

Excellent work Mr. Stilgoe. Really love his voice and the music is very easy to listen to. It's the sort of music that you never tire of and want to play over and over.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Like This One,Too
This CD is a breath of fresh air, after listening to much the homogenous over-produced, over-hyped music that's on the radio these days. But then, maybe I'm old-fashioned. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing
I first heard this chap on the radio. His sound was great. On listening to the whole thing though, I was really dissapointed in the range of music. Lesson learned :-(.
