We are soldiers still.... is a moving, powerful and higly emotive follow up to the exceptional We were soldiers by Hal Moore and Joe Galloway. Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book I felt compelled to read this. Moore and Galloway have worked tirelessly to cover old ground and attempt to lay to rest some of the ghosts of war. I am amazed at the strength of character of the individuals, of both US Army and Vietnamese forces, who came together to prove that reconciliation between fighting men is not only possible; but cathartic for those involved. I recommend both books to any serving / ex serving members of any armed force, especially to those that have experienced combat or served in a theatre of war. I look forward to re-reading these superb books again.

Lots of this book l agree with having served in the army for 28 years and served with some great people and as well as some who thought of only themselves .

There are no bad soldiers only bad officers

Having read WE WERE SOLDIERS AND YOUNG this book is almost a sequel. It is a brilliant read and shows how once bitter enemies can become friends. It is a must read for anyone who has read the original book.

Heartbreaking, vivid account. It would be a good idea if all tin pot politicians like Bush and Blair were forced to read these pages before committing other people's children to the horrors of war.

Just finished reading the second book about the Vietnam battles at La Drang and must say it was an interesting conclusion. Well worth the 4 hours it took to read it from cover to cover.

This book is an open and honest account of the horrors of warfare and the effects it has on everyone. More politicians should read this and realise that war should be the very last step to take.
My thanks to all service men and women, who keep us safe. God bless you x
