Fans of Ryan Adams or Jesse Malin who stumble across the Finger's We Are Fuck You/Punk's Dead Let's Fuck are in for a bit of a shock. Though neither singer-songwriter will officially confirm their participation in this side project, it's become fairly common knowledge. What's more of a surprise is how both Adams's and Malin's mellow, country-tinged rock has been completely usurped by sharp, short punk songs filled with buzzsaw guitars and throat-shredding vocals. But the Ramones they ain't--the Finger's lyrics tend towards generic, punk-by-numbers (everybody shout, "No slaves, no way!") and, worst of all, they seem to have forgotten all the catchy tunes (though "Run It Down", "Wasted Hours" and especially "What Is It" come closest). Clearly, Adams and Malin had terrific fun recording these songs. Too bad it's a sentiment that won't be shared by the typical listener. --Robert Burrow

But I really quite like it.
Pretty shoddy production (sounds like it was recorded in an afternoon) with studio noise-a-plenty... or is that what we're led to believe? Maybe it's pretending to be on the shoddy side... I wouldn't put this past Mr. Adams.
Very NY punk-rock, most songs averaging on 1min40seconds!

great album with a bit of something different about it. Done by Ryan Adams and Jessie Mallons it's a must for a fan of either artist.great catchy tunes that will have you humming and laughing all day along with the comedy titles and superb music. definately worth a 4 star rating at least.

After a lot of backwards and forwards asking "where is my album?" after ordering it eventually transpired that there were none in stock and weren't likely to be again so my order was cancelled.
