A promotional picture disc for the album, we are dmx, this single comes cut in the shape of ed with his decks. The track good time girl is taken from the album, but the b-side denki no merodi is unique to the single. Denki no merodi has everything that makes dmx good, so if the cool vinyl isnt enough to convince you then the music might be. A great buy, if you can justify the price tag for what is essentially just one track.

OK, so even if this CD is an 11 track showcase of how ironic and hilarious Ed DMX can be, it is still nearly 40 minutes of the coolest music EVER made.
Right from the start, ear-splitting bass tears the room up with the Rephlex classic 'The Glass Room', which featured on the Aphex Twin himself, Richard D. James' personally compiled 'Braindance Coincidence' album. This song is not only a brainbusting dancefloor banga, but it's also a work of paradoxical genius, with lines like 'I'm dreaming of a million ways to die' and 'I know there's gotta be something better than this - emptiness inside' harmonising over, what seems to be, the most cheesy, uplifting tune ever!
The melancholic house music-based 'Hard Times' and 80's throwback song 'Street Boys' (Which comes complete with vocals which make you literally roll around the floor in tears of laughter). 'Konnichi Wa!' is in a league all of its own. It's undescribable, you just have to hear it. what's for sure is that its funny as hell. In a complete change of direction, 'Honey' is the most beautiful piece of 80's retro music you'll ever hear! 'We Are DMX' is a rockin' guitar-based conclusion to a wonderful album where Ed brags about how great DMX Krew (himself) are/is. All in the name of irony I'm sure. But, best of all is 'Release My Dub', possibly the most wicked dance song ever made. Ed mixes wonderful 80's music with modern Braindance production, and this is the result. Just check out that bassline...
The most amazing thing about this CD is the breathtaking athenticity. I mean, it sounds exactly like it would if it were made in the 80's, yet somehow, it also sounds like the music of the future...
