Product Description

All the kids from Wayside School had to spend 243 days in horrible schools while Wayside was closed to get rid of the infestation of cows! Now the kids are back and the fun begins again on every floor. Miss Mush has prepared a special lunch of baked liver in purple sauce and it is pet day on the 30th floor. There are dogs and cats and frogs and skunks and an orange named Fido, causing a terrible commotion. But the biggest surprise of all is that Mrs Jewls is expecting a baby and a substitute teacher is coming, and everyone knows what that means . . . Wayside School is going to get a little stranger.

This book is funny, and is sure to capture any reader's soul. Louis Sachar is a great author, great talent, and he should write a whole series! This book is the third of this excellent series, and it is truly my favorite. Louis Sachar is my favorite author. I recommend this book to every reader who wants a good laugh.

Louis Sachar keeps getting better and better. This sequal to Sideways Stories from Wayside School and Wayside School is Falling Down is just as good, if not better. It is important to read the three books in order to pick up on all of the details in these books. It is not just for children - people of al ages can appreciate the humor in them. I have read them to my little sisters and lent them to my friends, and everybody loves them. Buy this book!

This book is not as good as the first two, but the first two were so great that it doesn't mean this one is BAD. But Louis Sachar wrote the first two with such originality and zaniness that it is hard, even for him, to live up to those standards. And every story in his first two was so different from the others you didn;t know WHAT to expect.

He strays from the normal with this one by focusing on the teachers instead of the students, and that's not as good, because there's not as much you can do with teachers as you can with students. It's still different, and has it's moments, but this is just another example of how sequels can't live up to the original.
