This book looked quite promising but I was a little disappointed with it when is arrived. There is a lovely project for a memory quilt which I have set to work on. Although there is some handy hints and tips the rest of the projects I found to be a bit frilly and flouncy and not really anything I would make. There are lots of things for making covers for chairs and tissue boxes and some dubious things to do with your clothes. Not a bad book does give you some ideas but not something I would tell my friends to run out and buy immediately

I was really disappointed with this book
its got a brillant modern cover but thats about it
Ive bought lots of sewing books over the years and I am always looking out for some thing a bit different/ funky /modern to keep me up todate with modern trends
I thought this book was just that but no it was the opposite
lots of dated ideas and pictures which im sure ive seen in old books ive had. Im usually quite pleased with what I purchase as I do usually review them .This one must have slipped through the net.I was took in by the funky pink stilleto dont you be !!!!!!!!!!!

This book has very clear instructions of each of the techniques required for the projects. The projects vary in complexity and are excellent for gradually building up your skills.

Great book, arrived quickly, ideal to get you started with your sewing machine although there is allot of american language that would throw an older generation (ie my nan)

Not bad if you want to know simple adjustments to trousers, shirts & skirt, and styles of curtains. The projects seem old fashioned like your granny would use to decorate with. If you want to make something, from scratch, that you would wear, this book is not for you.
