Book Description

Do you dream of being a great photographer but don't have enough time to learn everything?

To be a great photographer today there are so many different things to learn. It can be overwhelming!

The jobs that used to belong to lab technicians, marketers, web designers and business managers now belong to you!

It is hard to make progress in the limited time you have available when you are pulled in so many different directions. How far down each path you should go?

Written by Canadian Pro Photographer and Author Anne McKinnell, "8 Ways To Accelerate Your Photography" identifies 8 core knowledge areas that are essential for today's photographer and shares the quickest and most effective techniques in each area so you can accelerate your learning curve.

Don't spend time learning the wrong stuff! In this eBook Anne shows you exactly what you need to know in each area:
  • understand the most useful camera settings and when to use them;
  • make compelling photographs that are more than snapshots;
  • turn your photography into fine art with post processing;
  • let the quality of light show you what kind of images to make;
  • find your niche, your unique strengths and style;
  • create a killer portfolio that gets attention;
  • get your photography on the web and build your audience; and
  • make money.

Learn the quickest and easiest techniques in each of the 8 core knowledge areas to jump start your photography!

This eBook is easy to digest and explains the concepts without using "techno-lingo."

In 4 years Anne went from buying her first DSLR to having a large audience online, a popular and successful blog, and images in and on the cover of magazines and photography books.

Now a full-time nomadic photographer, Anne travels around North America practicing her photography skills and experimenting with different techniques. She has explored the land as well as the vast array of skills you need to become a photographer today. In this eBook she shares those skills with you so your rise to photography success will be even faster.

You need each piece of the puzzle.

Perhaps you're not an amateur photographer but you don't know how to get a website going and build an audience. Or perhaps you are marketing wiz but you don't know how to use your camera. To be successful as a photographer today you need all the pieces of the puzzle to fit together.

Don't leave great photographs for some day!

"8 Ways To Accelerate Your Photography" features a collection of 72 inspiring photographs and 17,500 words of great tips and insight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy hints and tips 5 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Although somewhat over-simplified in its delivery, the general content is helpful to all but the very experienced photographer. Of note is the last section in the book which looks at various methods of earning or making money from your craft. I consider myself an experienced photographer, but there were ideas here that I had not considered previously, that I am now investigating.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a joy! What practical sense! 3 Oct. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed this informative, well illustrated, varied and clearly written book. The illustrations are well displayed, provide good examples of why to do, inspire us to "think outside the box", and provide an excellent standard for which to aim. I would recommend this book as a MUST READ for anyone interested in photography.

This is definitely the best book I've come across for budding photographers. Anne has packed in so much information. As an amateur photographer I'll be recommending it to my fellow camera club members, especially the beginners. Thanks Anne for another cracker.

5.0 out of 5 stars Accelerate your photography knowledge 20 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Got it when free, but still worth paying for. Good advice and tips from an experienced living on the road photographer who explains the 'craft' in simple terms. Ideal for beginners and intermediate users to quickly adopt some helpful approaches to their tool bag. Additional information also available on her web site, along with some great images too, with the availability of two other eBooks, plus tuition if wanted. Win, win all the way. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anne McKinnell is a natural teacher 12 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I follow a number of photographers and I learn more from Anne McKinnell than all the others together. Her life is inspirational, her photographs are stunning and she is a natural teacher. Accelerate your Photography is essential reading to ensure that basic techniques are understood - and how easy she makes them. Her piece on different types of light is educational and beautiful. But there is more than this: there are so many tips to help you improve your skills. Just de-clutter and you will see a huge improvement, says Anne, and she is so right. With this book one has direction and guidance in simple, straightforward language. But there is more: there is practical information about making money, going on-line and the social media. There are indeed plenty of ebooks available but this one is exceptional. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book for Beginners 4 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a great book if you're starting out in photography. I'm a relative beginner and don't have access to a photography school, so I have to be self taught and this book really has accelerated my learning. Anne shares her experience, the critical workings of the camera, and key composure concepts in a clear down to earth understandable way that other books often miss. The book is nicely structured and there are some amazing examples of her work. I'd highly recommend it.
