Product Description

Review

'Geoff Hill has an outstanding writing talent with a wicked sense of fun. For all the hilarious observations and polished one-liners, there is also thoughtful, informative travelogue.' Martyn Lewis, broadcaster. '...a distinctive brand of travel journalism that manages to combine side-splitting hilarity with acuity of observation and a real insight into what makes cultures tick. A joyful and enlightening read.' Julie Shmueli and David Rosenberg, Travelex UK Travel Writing awards. 'He has wonderful views on life, a great turn of phrase and a great sense of humour. His off-beat observations and zany outlook on life are laugh-out-loud funny.' John Mullin, Independent 'Remarkable, astonishing writing.' Jeremy Atiyah, Independent on Sunday

5.0 out of 5 stars Side Splitting Funny, 1 Sep 2005
By A Customer
This book is written with a quick quirky sence of humour that is side splitting funny. It is a long time, if ever, since I have laughed so long and so hard at a serious book. I don't often read a book more than once but this is one which i will happily read over and over again and each time get more out of it's pages. I look forward to Geoff's next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Funny, 25 Oct 2007

I couldn't stop turning the pages, I loved reading it and wanted it to keep going. The author's sense of humour is evident on every page, treating disasters and setbacks with a sense of fun to get you through.
Loved this book, can't wait to read more of his stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant, 30 Mar 2008
By Richard Stowey "Designer" (Bristol, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The book is divided into two halves. One is about the journey from Delhi to Belfast on a Royal Enfield and the other is about a journey along Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles on a Harley.

The author writes both adventures well with whit and humour for each trough and peak along the way. The journey's are both described with brilliant detail and explaining plenty about the places en-route!

If you're looking for factual information with mileage, times and dates and exactly how to do it yourself then this isn't for you because the author is more caught up in the excitement and drama of every situation.

A very well written and exciting travel book with an incredible amount of amusement and adventure. It will make you want to take to the road and find some adventure for yourself!!
