Product Description

After 29 years of waiting, Way of the Dragon is now available to UK audiences as director Bruce Lee intended. Now re-instated are the 10 mins of incredible hi-impact fight footage previously prohibited by the BBFC, including Bruce s stunning double nunchaku battle sequence, which is totally unique to this movie.

In the only self-directed project from Bruce Lee s short but prolific career, he plays Tang Lung, defender of his fellow countrymen, when they come under vicious attack from mafia enforcers.

Possessing a gentle and sometimes self-effacing humour, Way of the Dragon was a sensation during its initial release back in 1972. Capturing the spirit of the great historical battles fought between gladiators in the Roman Colosseum, Bruce makes full use of this stunning location, when he squares off against Karate legend Chuck Norris for one of the most exciting one-on-one encounters ever committed to celluloid.

This groundbreaking DVD package is the ultimate home cinema version for one of the most loved and respected martial arts movies of all time. Packed with a stunning array of collectable extra features and showcasing a brand new restored and digitally re-mastered anamorphic transfer, Way of the Dragon is a dream come true for Bruce Lee fans everywhere!

Special Features:
- Digitally re-mastered and restored DVD transfer
- 16:9 Anamorphic version enhanced for widescreen TVs
- Feature Length Audio Commentary with Bey Logan and co-star Jon Benn
- AC3 5:1 Digital Audio
- Original Theatrical Trailer
- UK Promotional Trailer
- Rare UK Seventies Trailer and TV Spots
- Production photo gallery
- Rare photo archive (containing rare stills, posters and original lobby card artwork)
- Extensive Interview Gallery
- Reflections on The Little Dragon Promo
- Making of Way of the Dragon text files

This is the story about Tang Lung (Bruce Lee), who visits a Chinese Restaurant in Rome to help out against thugs that are trying to take it over.

This is possibly the best movie Bruce ever appeared in. It has a much-more-consistent pace, and Bruce not only shows his lighter side but gets to show what he is really made of, particularly in the climactic classic fight against Chuck Norris (look at the speed of those kicks!). Of course, the good news doesn't end there - this DVD version is completely uncut, so the previously forbidden footage including some nastier blows from Bruce, and of course his double-nunchaku scene, have given this film a new lease of life. The audio commentary option from Hong Kong expert Bey Logan is insightful and informative.

Definitely recommended even if you're not a Bruce Lee fan.

Also stars Robert Wall (Enter The Dragon), Whang-In Sik (Young Master, Dragon Lord) and Nora Miao (The Big Boss, Fist Of Fury).

Action or what! 3 April 2006
Format:DVD
The story isn't that good. The humour is awful. Some of the sets are a joke. But the action? Man, you just can't fault this baby. The twin nunchaku sequence is superb. The fight with Bob Wall is unbelievable. But the true triumph is the Chuck Norris fight. Has to be one of the greatest fight scenes ever filmed. Fantastic. The choreography (entirely Lee's work) is matched only by the final execution. This is a true lesson from a true master on how cinematic fight scenes should be built, performed and filmed. Stunning.

Wow, this is one fully packed out DVD surprisingly all on one disc which is great. At last, the complete uncut version of Bruce Lee’s masterpiece ‘Way of the Dragon’ has been digitally restored and remastered for DVD transfer.

This is the only self-directed project he ever did and it shows, in my mind this is better than ‘Enter the Dragon’. Now re-instated are the 10-minutes of incredible hi-impact fight footage previously prohibited by the BBFC, including Bruce’s stunning double nunchaku battle sequence which is totally unique to this movie, you just want to keep re-watching the scene again and again. So the movie is now available to the UK audience just as director Bruce Lee intended originally.

The special features for this title include, digitally restored movie, 16:9 Anamorphic version enhanced for widescreen, audio commentary with Bey Logan and Jon Benn, AC3 5.1 digital audio, original trailer, photo gallery, rare on location photo gallery, reflections on ‘The Little Dragon’ promo and making of ‘Way of the Dragon’ text files. So all-in-all this is one great DVD with stunning extra’s and its all on one disc, a dream for Bruce Lee fans everywhere.

Hope my review helped someone.
