Product Description

Seasonal animated spin-off from the film 'Watership Down', focusing on a group of rabbits wandering the English countryside in search of a new home. Pipkin's Feast of Frith's Eve looks doomed to failure unless food supplies can be found fast. After getting lost in the snow, Hazel, Bigwig, Hawkbit, Dandelion and Kehaar end up on the mansion of fellow rabbit Buttercup, who offers to make them at home. But just how safe will the rabbits be in Buttercup's care, and how easy will it be to make their way back to Watership Down in the snow?

From the Back Cover

Watership Down is a brand-new action-adventure series, telling the story of a group of rabbits who leave their endangered warren in search of a nw home. Driven on by a vision of a Promised Land, the small band of renegades set out on a perilousadventure across English countryside towards their new home.

In Winter on Watership Down, a very excited Pipkin has incited all the locals to the Feast of Frith's Eve. However, the ground is heavy with snow and food is low, so the feast is doomed unless supplies are found. Hazel, Bigwig, Hawkbit, Dandelion and Keehar head off to raid Nuthanger Farm but get lost in the snow. Eventually, the rabbits find shelter in the grounds of a large mansion where they meet Buttercup, a mansion rabbit, who offers them food and shelter. But will the rabbits be safe at the mansion and will they be able to find their way back to Watership Down to join the feast in time?

I'd just like to second the previous review - you can't make a SEQUEL to Watership Down! !!! !!! ! What are they doing?

Like you can't make a sequel to Titanic, or Casablanca or Bambi - they're films that are perfectly contained on their own - the film finishes at the end when ... well, when that black rabbit turns up and you understand the meaning of death, perfectly put across in a form that's palpable for a young child.

I'm disappointed Disney, really, very disappointed ...

Disney killed it. Disney killed my childhood.. Hasn't anyone actually READ the WW-II novel by Richard Adams? God help us. It's too late.

I enjoyed this because it has great acting and the music is superb. Its just the frame rate on the animation is rubbish, they miss alot of frames out.The story. Pipkin is excited about friths eve and so the Hazel,Bigwig,Fiver,Hawkbit,Dandelion and Keehar go out to look for food and they get lost and arrive at a house and they soon meet a fox in the maze and they have to escape from it. Pipkin tells a story about Elahrah and the great freeze! There is also some behind the scenes footage at the end!Great!
