I bought this for Canon A1100is and it is a perfect fit! We also have a Canon A490 and this also fits! No room for spare batteries though! Haven't tested whether its waterproof yet...

I bought this for my 8 yr old's new camera. It is very practical - strong and protective and the strap is ideal for carrying round his neck. just right and a good price. Received promptly. I would recommend this.
