There s a new Head Teacher at Waterloo Road. Karen Fisher comes with a renegade daughter and a troubled son; and is soon joined by her husband as a supply teacher. It s a family affair, except that this family is an explosion waiting to happen. New challenges to hit the school system include more than one pupil who comes out as gay, bullying, bulimia, sex education and the morning after pill, a bright student who is forced to live alone in a hostel and a boy, whose father is a gangster, taking the law into his own hands. Grantly Budgen has to deal, not only with his own weaknesses but the decline of his beloved wife from Alzheimers. And an old friend is back as a former student. Janeece returns to the school as school secretary, but she doesn t come back alone. Francesca Montoya, the Spanish Teacher, fi nds herself heavily in demand from an eager Tom Clarkson, but she s already crossed a very dangerous barrier and started an affair with a pupil that could send her to prison if they aren t very careful. In one of the tensest, most exciting Waterloo Road series yet seen, fast-moving events lead to dangerous, illegal and possibly even deadly conclusions. SPECIAL FEATURES: Outtakes, School Photos, Social Networking Snaps, Subtitles

Those four words in the title describe this series of Waterloo Road. The Best One Yet.

New Head Teacher, Karen Fisher (Amanda Burton) makes a great start, and her on-screen family, Jessica Fisher (Linzey Cocker), Harry Fisher (Cellach Spellman), and on-screen husband Charlie Fisher (Ian Puleston Davies) are good too.

Autumn Term

The highlights are the great and chilling mystery of Bex (Tina O' Brien) Fisher, and also the accidental short-term relationship between Deputy Head, Chris Mead (William Ash) and Karen's 17-year-old daughter (as mentioned), Jessica Fisher. We also have Charlie Fisher's affair, Harry Fisher's bullying, and a short storyline about the rivalry between Amy Porter and Sambuca Kelly. Long-running teacher Grantly Budgen (Phillip Martin Brown)'s wife getting Alzheimer's disease, and Josh Carter revealing his sexuality.

Spring Term

The Spring term started with a bang, with the new single-sex class policy controversy being great, and I really like the new head of Pastoral Care, Adanna Lawal (Sharlene White). The Main story throughout this series is the relationship between teacher Francesca Montoya (Karen David) and pupil Jonah Kirby (Lucien Laviscount). It is a really well acted storyline. Except for that, they're aren't many big storylines, but I should note Finn Sharkey (Jack Mcmullen) falling off a bridge, and the rather comedic school play performance of 'Cinderfella'.

Overall, the best series yet.

A brilliant Boxset DVD for your collection of Waterloo Road, with the usual interesting topics.
The DVD case is well thought out and designed, so therefore is great to put with your collection of DVD's.

Good storylines, drama and new characters make what is so interesting and watchable about Waterloo Road. I recommend it for all if you like a good drama with some hard-hitting stories.
