Product Description

Fully Waterproof

The Waterfi Waterproof Short Cord Headphones are ready for use as deep as 10 feet underwater with an IPX rating of IP8. In tests, the Waterfi Waterproof Short Cord Headphones survived going as deep as 200 feet underwater, but due to immense pressure at that depth, your ear drums will thank you for staying within 10 feet of the surface.

Designed for Active Life

Experience less drag with a more concise cord length of 11 inches. The perfect size to efficiently reach an mp3 player clipped on a goggle strap, wetsuit, hat, shirt collar or sunglasses. Less cord means less tangles and much less time on the side of the pool arranging your setup before jumping in. The headphone jack is gold plated to protect from corrosion caused by chlorine, salt water, and sweat.

Customized for Comfort

4 different pairs of silicone earbuds are included, so you can find the perfect fit for your ears and activity. The three tiered earbud shape works best for fully immersed activities such as swimming and surfing, while the more classic earbud shape works best for semi-immersed activities such as stand up paddling, running and kayaking. The proper fit allows you to keep water out of your ears and the music in.

What's in the Box

- Waterproof Short Cord Headphones
- 4 pairs of silicone earbuds for a custom fit
- 1 year warranty fulfilled by Waterfi

Best sound quality of any waterproof headphones I've tried (and thats a lot). They also stay in your ears well when swimming which is a problem with a lot of the others and the short cord is a big plus. Bit pricy if you include the cost of the shipping from USA but worth it, cant comment on durability yet but fingers crossed thats 10+ swims so far

I'm on my second pair of these already. I got my first pair in February and I swim 4-5 days a week for an hour per day. After just a few months, the sound stopped working in the left ear. I finally got around to emailing Waterfi in July and explained that they stopped working properly and they promptly responded to my email and replaced them quickly even though there was only a 30 day warranty. I didn't even have to send my broken ones back or provide proof of purchase. That is some pretty amazing customer service!

As for in-pool performance, they are awesome. You have to really push them into your ear canals and make sure that a suction forms. After that, I don't usually have to adjust again during my hour-long swims. Sound quality is good and it definitely makes the time go quicker.

Amazing quality. Was dubious at first but can't fault them. Using them three times a week for swimming. Brilliant. Would recommend.

Bud won't pop off if you attach it… Gorilla Glue! 9 Feb 2014
By Peter Nordberg - Published on Amazon.com
I bought a set of these (with the longer cord), and like others, immediately noticed that the earpieces were too loose… but I simply bought some Gorilla Glue (waterproof), and attached the ones that fit best "permanently".

I expect, if I needed too, I could replace these by dissolving the glue and/or using an Xacto knife to remove them, but truly, at this price point, I just figured I would replace the set when needed.

I've used them in the pool, in the river (kayak playboating), and on multiple mile-long swims in the ocean/snorkeling for over an hour at a time.

They have not failed me yet, nor do the earpieces show any perceptible sign of needing replacement… I think I've been using them for about 18 months, although nothing like the level of use some people are claiming (thousands of yards a week).

Waterfi products rule!! 29 Aug 2013

Ok, first of all let me say I was never really a big swimmer, it seemed boring compared to running and listening to music on my iPod. I started to get into it, my wife got me my first waterfi about three years ago, I swam hundreds of miles with it, abused it pretty good, and it's still working!! I treated myself to a second one, so I could alternate music and for when I'd forget to charge the other one!! Love it, great service, but the Pyle earphones I went through quite a few. This product is sweet!! If you swim and use a waterfi, use their earphones, trust me I'd been waiting on the short cord so I didn't have to use a cap to tuck the extra 3 feet of cord in it. I love it, definitely recommend. Putting about 50 miles a month on this waterfi, and so far it's a swimmers dream!

Used a couple of times already 28 Aug 2013

This is the second pair of water proof headphones I have purchased from Waterfi. The first pair lasted about a year which is pretty good because I do 10-15K yds/week in a short course pool which means lots of turns and movement for the wires. Sound is equal to the last pair and I believe I will see the same durability. If you do a lot of training on your own then you will not believe how the time flys when you have good tunes to listen to. Highly recommend.

Great products 11 Nov 2013

I bought one of these last year for swimming and it is better than all the other swim music players out there. It is not bulky, small and easy to click, and easy to use in the water. Earphones on all these models are not the best, haven't found a great one yet that does not pull a little out of the ear as you swim. Just need to keep the swim cap pull securely over it. I also use this for running, then I don't have to ever worry about it getting wet. The shorter headphones wire is really nice.

Short life, long time to get replacement under warranty. 7 Nov 2014

Minus 4 stars for short life (approx 75 uses), and very poor execution of warranty replacement by Waterfi.

Plus one star since they are the best design I've found for swimming laps. The clips that hold the rubber "buds" on are excellent. The cord length is perfect for lap swimming with the Waterfi iPod shuffle clipped to goggle straps. Sound quality is better than average for water proof ear buds in this price range. The warranty policy is very good but warranty replacement execution is quite poor.

Purchased in March '14. I swim 2,000 meters 3 times a week. In October '14 one ear bud stopped working. I Called Waterfi and they offered to send a replacement under the 1 year warranty, no questions asked. The gentleman at Waterfi said the replacements would be sent out that afternoon and I would receive an email with tracking information. I waited 4 days and never received an email. I called again and the same gentleman said that they would go out THAT evening. I asked if I could pay for expedited shipping and he said that he would comp me upgraded shipping since they didn't ship when he originally said they would. I received a tracking email the next day. I checked the status with the shipper regularly and discovered that they didn't ship until 3 days later and that they were shipped standard speed. It took Waterfi a full 7 days to process and ship the replacement after being told they would go out the same day.

If you are like me and need to be entertained to avoid going out of your mind swimming laps I recommend keeping a back-up pair of swimming headphones for when these fail and you need to wait a couple of weeks for a replacement.

For reference, the ear buds that came with with my Waterfi iPod shuffle (old design w/long cord) lasted me 1 year and 3 months but I was swimming much more often, I averaged swimming 6 days a week for the first year I owned the iPod (400+ uses until the originals failed).
