I have been using oils and pastels for some years and have always fancied trying my hand with watercolours. So far I have been put off because I thought watercolours were too tricky and god help you if you make a mistake! Not so... buy this book and all the tricks and tips are reavealed. It won't give you talent but it definitely will tell you everything you need to know to start painting in watercolour. First class!!!

This is simply a fantastic book if you want to really develop your painting. What makes it different from almost all other books is the author show you, in both words and pictures, how to build and develop great pictures. The core of the book is 12 studies where the author demonstrates in a step by step approach of how to create these effects and panitings. An absolute gem.

Watercolour painting isn't easy - it is deceptive because it looks as if it should be easier than it is - but if anyone can help 'would be' artists create works that they can be proud of it is Glynis Barnes Mellish with this simple to follow step by step guide. Glynis uses memorable terms and phrases as she describes her method of creating a successful painting. I love this book
