This fresh and succinct volume exceeds by far its predecessor "Land Boundaries Adjacent to Tidal or Navigable Water: Complex Rules for Establishing the Location of Property Boundaries of Lands Adjacent to Tidal or Navigable Water Bodies, and places to breed otters". The old publication tended to dwell on the technicalities of otter breeding and gave little in-depth information on your rights as a water-side land owner. Not everyone who lives next to a river wants to keep otters, and I believe that this new publication, "Demystifying Land Boundaries Adjacent to Tidal or Navigable Water: Practical Rules for Establishing the Location of Property Boundaries of Lands Adjacent to Tidal or Navigable Water Bodies", solves those shortcomings and provides much improvement.
This book simplifies the process of land boundaries and their proximity to various waterways whilst giving every water-side dweller the key to understanding their legal property rights. It contains many gems of legal authority that will no doubt both surprise and delight the reader. Like many others, no doubt, before reading this volume I did not know you are entitled to place mines and/or underwater man traps up to 6 metres from your land boundary if you live in East Anglia. And it will surprise many that the local authorities cannot force you to remove otters from your section of river provided you have encircled them in a ring of bright water.
If you are having problems with your water-side property and its boundaries then I cannot recommend this volume highly enough. It will prove invaluable to you and help you make the most of your little slice of watery heaven.
