Someone suggested this book to me, as I do not normally read romantic fiction but as a favour I read it and really enjoyed it. I was unable to put it down-suspense tantalised all the way through the book and it is only at the end when the true culprit is unmasked! Against this is a kind of gentle love story, a fortune to be restored and a Mr Darcy character. It was a charming Christmas read, and I recommend it to anyone.
