Review

'An example of how popular culture works successfully when the right tone is struck. Exuberant is the word for this diary... a mine of Information about every anxiety known to teenagers' - The Times; 'I Used to be a not-so-teenage worrier, but now, whenever I feel a nigling wee worree coming on, I simply refer to I was a Teenage Worrier, a historic work of literature' - Fife

Product Description

Letty Chubb is 15 and a mine of information about all things teenage. Her hilariously perceptive guide covers everything and anything teenage worriers need to know - spots, diets, parents, lurve, clothes, contraception and lots more...As well as being the ultimate teenage handbook, I Was a Teenage Worrier follows the ups and downs of Letty's romance with the elusive Daniel Hope and the chaos of life in the quirky Chubb family. You won't be able to put it down!

5.0 out of 5 stars Letty Chubb is so lifelike it's scarey, 24 Jul 2001
By A Customer
All I can say is the same as all the other reviews I've read - this book is hilarious and deeply reassuring. Ever since I was about ten, i have been bombarded with teen magazines etc. showing teenagers to be laidback, beautiful, confident and all the other things I'm not. 'I was a teenage worrier' blasted this out of the water, and showed me that it's OK to be worried! What I also loved were the constant references to issues such as homeless people, refugees, the third world etc - cos we all need to be reminded of these, especially me when I'm worried about a bad hair day! I would recommend this to ANY teenager cos it's hilarious, doesn't talk down to you and will seriously help you out whenever you're worried.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love Letty Chubb!, 18 Mar 2001
By A Customer
You think your life is bad then you read about the character Letty. The background story is great, I love the cartoons because they are better than Picasso (and funnier..)This is HYSTERICAL and a teenage version of the Bible including the meaning of life, Utopia, armpits.. I will flick through this all through my teens. -Hana,12

5.0 out of 5 stars Teenage Worrier Review, 4 Jun 2003
I thought the book was very funny and it was telling teenagers that teenage stages are important in life, because its a time when you change into an adult and you leave behind the stages of being a child!
It was different from the usual books I read and exciting to explore! I enjoyed this book very well and would like to read more of Ros Asquith's books!!!!!!
