5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of detailed pictures 13 Jan 2014

And a bit of historical data at the beginning of each Chapter. If you are looking for a book with detailed pictures this will do it. 120 pages with on average two very clear pictures per page and not a lot else. I found it interesting in that regard. Many of the pictures are from unusual angles and close ups. Not just shots of the entire jeep. Nice to have ones under the rear seat and in the storage area for example. The book lists for nearly $40 but I bought it for under $30. I found it great for the detail it showed and the quality of the pictures.

Buy the "All American Wonder" series (available soft bound from Amazon) for really detailed info. Still, looks good on your coffee table ( made from vintage C Ration boxes, of course).
5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of pictures, historically accurate 14 Aug 2013

If you ever wondered how the Jeep came to be, this is its birth certificate.
From the Army gruelling specifications and impossible deadlines, through overnight scratch-built prototypes and their brutal testing, it's like reading a Jeep's memoires.
Oh, and the pictures are just incredible !
