Book Description

3 Aug 2010 Warriors (Quality)

The return of a long lost Clan . . .

Many moons ago, five warrior Clans shared the forest in peace. But as Twolegs encroached on the cats' territories, the warriors of SkyClan were forced to abandon their home and try to forge a new life far away. Eventually, the Clan disbanded—forgotten by all until Firestar was sent on a quest to reunite its descendants and return SkyClan to its former glory.

Now, with Leafstar in place as leader, SkyClan is thriving. Leafstar is desperate to believe that her Clan will survive where the ancient SkyClan cats failed. But threats continue to plague the Clan, and as dissent grows from within, Leafstar must face the one question she dreads: Is SkyClan meant to survive?

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good! 9 Sep 2010
A Kid's Review
As a huge fan of Warrior Cats and having read every book, I was anticipating this book very much after reading Bluestar's Prophecy, which was the best super edition yet. It finally came and I loved it so much I finished it in about a day. It is like a sequel to Firestar's Quest and follows the cats of SkyClan about six moons after we left them. The clan had grown considerably, introducing lots of new and exciting characters. I was instantly drawn into their struggles for survival, and issues growing inside of the clan too, threatening to tear it apart. If I could fault it, it would be that the ending was a tiny bit short, and I wanted to know a few more things before I read the final page, but the manga bit at the back almost made up for it though. In conclusion it is definately well worth the money, and you shouldn't put off buying it any longer than you have to!

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST BOOKS EVER! 2 Oct 2010
A Kid's Review
As A complete and Huge warriors fan, I have read the every single book, three times or more. This book was an absolute success. i felt that in Omen of the Stars it becomes a bit too dramatic and less about all the cats, with less detail, more problems, allthough i do still love them. It was nice that this book elabortad on the new skyclan, I enjoyed every minute of it and finished it really fast. I love all her books, the only thing i would point out, is that she ended it with a bit of a cliffhanger which i did not appreciate. Overall, GREAT books, highly reccomend this one, worth every penny, you'll se what I mean. REALLY, REALLY, Good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Warriors Skyclans destiny 26 Dec 2010
A Kid's Review
This is one of my favourite Warriors books ever. Its set 6 moons [6 months] after Firestar and Sandstorm rebuilt Skyclan. Skyclan is doing well but Leafstar is worried that the clan will soon split in half because the clan is accepting daylight warriors cats who come to the gorge in the day and go back to their twolegs at night. Leafstar knows that the clan is unhappy but Skyclan is still small and cant afford to turn them away. Many dangers are in store for Skyclan the return of the rats, attack of the twoleg who mistreated Petalnose and her kits, a twoleg kit who might die without Skyclans help and 4 rogues who need Skyclans help to survive. Leafstar also discovers that her and Billystorm [a daylight warrior] may have a future together. Stick,Shorty,Bella and Coal [the 4 rogues who Firestar met in the flood] appear but can they be trusted. Leafstar also begins to dought Sharpclaws loyalty to her when he turns behind her back. Firestar remains in Leafstars thoughts but even in Firestars faith in her to lead the clan is Skyclan meant to survive...............A must for any Warriors fan. It even comes with a short Skyclan manga at the back of the book. You must read this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, But Not Great 15 July 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have to say, as a fan of the original series (the 'Into The Wild' arc) I don't actually like the newer books. I loved the simplicity of the original series, there were clans of cats who lived by their warrior code and StarClan was mysterious and powerful - I didn't like how the series evolved into the crazy powers and really complicated family trees of the later books. So (back to the point) I originally didn't intend on buying the Super Editions until I read Firestar's Quest on a whim, and loved it!

I enjoyed the longer story, and newer characters. So I naturally had to buy Blustar's Prophecy and SkyClan's Destiny - Bluestar was my favourite character and I wanted to see what happened to SkyClan after Firestar left. I was really pleased with Bluestar's Quest but found this book... lacking.

The inclusion of Kittypet Warriors was strange considering in the previous book how emphatic Firestar had been that they had to choose which world they lived in (I also couldn't stand the half-warrior names 'BillyStorm' - really?). I felt that Leafstar's insecurities with various things could have been resolved by just TALKING to the various cats involved, rather than internally agonising over them for pages and pages and pages. I also struggled to keep up with the sheer amount of characters involved in all of the action, and thought the Clan should have had a smaller roster.

The action was stilted, a few pages of fast pace between loooong chapters of very little substance, and I felt that the whole book could have been about half the size. I did enjoy the new Clan though, and seeing it develop.

I didn't DISLIKE the book, but it wasn't one of my favourites either. Mixed feelings about this one.
