Product Description

How far would you go to save the ones you love?

Having successfully hidden her abilities from humans for two hundred years, Briet applies her Guardian gifts to help patients in need. Until she meets her human soul mate, Jason Ballard, who holds the reins to the Briet's patients' cancer protocol. Can she trust a man all too human and grounded in his world to understand hers? Yet, when a deadly threat targets her patients, he is the only one she trusts to help stop an evil that only the Guardians can fight.

Rules delineate every facet of Jason's professional and personal life. The last thing he expects is to find temptation in the new spitfire doctor on his latest test team. Especially as she starts stirring up issues. Dangerous issues. Issues flagging jeopardy for the lives of the children in the test. Issues his employer, would prefer be ignored. Honor forces Jason to walk a dangerous line between job and conscience as he joins with Briet to ferret out the twisted scheme in time to save her patients. In a final life-altering decision, he will risk every careful plan he's ever made for the woman he values more than life.

THE GUARDIANS OF EDEN:
A race of beings created in a Sanctum at the far edge of Eden. Co-existing with mankind, they safeguarded human souls and the promise of eternity--until a virus killed all over the age of eighteen. The surviving children fled to the Sanctum for protection, children raising children without the full legacy of their history and knowledge. Two hundred years of solitude have produced a race of semi-immortals fortified with powers and intellect but lacking the mates who will make them whole and allow them to fulfill their covenant with mankind.

Warrior Reborn
The Guardians of Eden #2

After reading book one of the series, I couldn't wait to start reading this book and I was far from disappointed, if anything I fell in love with the series more. Incredibly well written, the reader is allowed to get to know the characters, and see how the relationship develops rather than jump straight into love at first sight. Both Briet and Jason are strong characters, used to being independent but soon learn working together gets better results. When Briet is poisoned the depth of Jason's feelings shine through, leaving the reader breathless. All of the Guardians are special in their own way, and I would happily read each of their stories separately.

I received an e-copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mysterious and magical with a passionate and exciting romantic edge 3 May 2011
By J. Hudock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Warrior Reborn drew me in with its driven and compassionate female protagonist. Briet carries the story and the weight of her world like a champion, and though at times she feels awkward and strange in a world far too human for her, she steps up to the cause and sets things right.

The backstory of the experimental medical trials introduces a terrifying enemy who would do anything to destroy the hope for humanity. As Briet moves to protect the children in her care, she puts herself directly in harm's way for the sake of her patients even though she risks exposing her true nature to the world around her.

The plot is mysterious and magical with a passionate and exciting romantic edge. LeMoyne's cast of characters are solid and believable despite their otherworldly origins, and I found myself wanting to know more about the Guardians and their tragic history.

Each book in this series introduces a new protagonist backed by familiar friends and family. I am definitely looking forward to returning to visit the Guardians of Eden as LeMoyne expands this universe and the stories within it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good character driven story 21 July 2011
By Workaday Reads - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
As a Guardian, Briet has a unique superpower to help in her quest to find her mate in order to reproduce and help replenish and heal human souls. Briet's superpower is her ability to see to the molecular level without the need for any machines. She uses this power by participating in medical trials searching to cure cancer in children. In her latest trial she works closely with Jason, the company's representative. When she starts questioning her findings, will she be able to trust Jason to help her survive and figure out what is going on?

This story is really about Briet and Jason. The "bad guy" is there, but mostly in the background. He is referred to, but doesn't actually appear in any scene. This was an interesting way to continue with the series while still focusing on one particular member of the Guardians.

Since the book was mainly about the relationship, character developed was extremely important. Both Briet and Jason were interesting, fully developed characters. Briet is so spunky and energetic. Jason is a good counterpoint to her.

Briet's brother Ansgar played a very visual supporting role. He is the stereotypical overprotective big brother, but is still very loveable. I sincerely hope that he gets his own book in the series soon. I'd love to meet the woman who steals his heart. She would have to be very strong and simply amazing.

Overall, this book is more romance that action, but is a great continuation in the series. I can't wait for the next installment. Just a caution that this is intended for adult readers as there are a few very steamy sex scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic paranormal - sexy Guardians and the drive to save humanity! 4 July 2011
By B. Sharp - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
My thoughts:
I was thrilled with this second book in the Guardians of Eden series.
The author has once again given us those wonderful characters.
This is Briet and Jason's story. Briet divides her time between the Guardian's Sanctum and the human world. She is a doctor and is dedicated to saving children. Jason works for the company bringing the study to Briet's hospital. They make an incredible team.

KH LeMoyne has created a world filled with characters that are so bigger than life that you find yourself pondering your own purpose, beliefs and behavior. They are insightful, honorable, courageous, steadfast, dedicated and sexy.
Her storytelling is remarkable. The story flows fast, yet smooth as if the pages almost turn themselves. The plot is clever, creative and engaging.
The whole story is fantastic, with all the elements pulling together to bring the reader to a wonderfully satisfying ending.
I fell in love with the characters in book one, continue to love them here in book two and can hardly wait for the rest of the series! I hope there is a book in the series for each and every one of them!
If you love paranormal and are looking for a break from shifters, vampires and angels - look no further! This is the read for you!
