I really didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did; I'm not really into historical fiction or battle stories. The life and times of Genghis Khan and the creation of the Mongol empire didn't sound like a page turner, but that's just what it was. It was well written, interesting, involving and educational. In short, it was a very good story about a great, if ruthless leader. I bought the next one straight away to follow his journey. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to try something a bit different. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
