About the Author

Martin Rooney is an internationally recognized fitness and martial arts expert. He is the creator of the Training for Warriors System and is currently the COO of the Parisi Speed School. For over a decade Martin has prepared hundreds of athletes for the UFC, NFL, NBA, MLB, WNBA, Major Division I colleges and the Olympics. Over 500,000 youth athletes have taken part in programs that he has developed. Martin has his Master of Health Science and Bachelor of Physical Therapy degrees from the Medical University of South Carolina and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Furman University.

Buythis book if U've access to Heavy kettle bell, sandbags, tall punchbags, a prowler, massive tyre, battle ropes..........just to name a few. If u want to use this book for home workouts...well look elsewhere. There is one bodyweight chapter, just one.
Being said that, its a brilliant book for people who are looking to get into fighting shape or fitness.
Precise color pictures and good reasoning behind each workouts. there is even a 12 week plan to follow, a brilliant one.

Great book for that price!!

I am a bit bummed that I purchased this book as it just doesn't deliver. It contains way too many pictures and offers basic/general information about training and nutrition, which is something one can easily find in web forums. On top of that it was fairly pricey. I can't recommend this to anyone except to a beginner.

I got this book due to other good reviews.
Although this isn't for me (marathon runner), I've taken on board some of the aspects, he admits it's not for endruance sports and more for exercising 45minutes at a time. Highly recommend getting this, for a none sporty person - it would make you think about your diet.
He aims this at the Roman/Greek life style on food and exercise.
