Product Description

A tiny little island off the East Coast of America, that sits on its own tiny little fault on the underlying tectonic plate. Fisrt off, this is not one of Warren's super hero books. If you are after a super hero comic then save your money!

This is one of Warren's nasty little books, uber violence, blood, gore, death, murder and as much black humour as you can shake a stick at. The story goes something like this. A nice collage couple (Tyler and Soo) go to Smokey Island so that Tyler can show Soo to his parents. They treck inland and stay the night in a cabin in the middle of the woods. It is all a bit Evil Dead (and you may well catch a few references in the text). In the middle of the night there is a huge explosion and the island vents a huge quantity of Black Gas into the atmosphere, anyone who breathes in the gas becomes, essentially, a zombie. Queue the graphic violence. What do zombies eat? Well as anyone who has ever watch a decent zombie film knows, zombies eat brains!

Most of the islands inhabitants have been turned into zombies and we follow Tyler and Soo's rush to escape - unfortunately for Soo as soon as they escape Smokey Island everthing takes a turn for the worse. Max Fiumara provides the art work for most of the book and it perfectly captures the vision of Warren's script.

It's Warren it his best - it's a sick, cruel, nasty little book but I like it 10/10
