Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

How do they work?

The gloves feature an advanced battery operated heating system which works in combination with our reflective silver sheet to trap the warmth, reflecting it straight back to your hands and concentrating around the fingers and back of the hands as these are the areas generally prone to the cold.

The gloves feature a special Thumb Wipe--the outer edge of the thumb has been fitted with a soft, smear- and scratch-resistant material for wiping away moisture.

Special Features include Easy-Switch. There is no need to take the gloves off to turn them off--the on/off switch is on the wrist strap. Instant Heat means the gloves warm up very quickly thanks to our improved energy efficient design, incorporating a silver reflective liner to stop the escaping heat in its tracks and send it right back to your hand.

Heating elements run to the tips of the fingers, not just in the hand. Additionally, the heating elements are placed on the outside of the hand and fingers, not on the palm side. Wind chill will affect the outside of the hands, not the palms, so this is the best way to keep you warm.

The Deluxe Glove is waterproof rather than water-resistant, offering you extra protection in wet weather

As well of this there is an LED Power indicator to show you that the gloves are on and working, a discrete battery compartment making the batteries easy to install and an adjustable wrist strap. The gloves are even dry-cleanable.

Each glove requires 1 x '9v' PP3 battery. The battery is hidden in a discreet compartment on each cuff. When switched on, they will heat the gloves up in moments with over 2* hours of hot time from good quality batteries. This time can be dramatically increased if you only have the gloves switched on for short bursts - which is now even easier than ever thanks to our "Easy Switch" Design. Advanced "flat strip" carbon-ceramic infra-red heating elements built into the gloves promote longer battery life.

Which size?

Available in 2 Sizes: Small/Medium and Medium/Large.

As a rough guide to help you to decide which size you need, measure around your dominant hand at the broadest point, excluding the thumb.

6-7" (15-17.5 cm) = Small / Medium; 8" - 10"(20-25 cm) = Medium / Large

*Batteries come in all shapes and sizes, but there is a fairly simple rule to follow: The higher the mAh (capacity), the longer your gloves will stay hot. Most 9v rechargeable batteries are rated between 90mAh and 300mAh. There is very little data regarding non-rechargeable batteries, however we have found that the Panasonic Pro Power 9v battery outlasts anything else we've tried (lasting over 2 hours), including the Duracell Plus cell (which only offered about 40 mins).

    heated gloves 27 Nov 2011
    By Issyart
Purchased a pair for husband first and having circulation problems due to diabetes, he has found them to be fantastic ! I then bought some for my daughter who has Raynauds and she loves them too, especially when walking the dog. Recommended.

I bought these gloves last year and they are brilliant. They kept me so warm during the bad snowy weather when I was walking to work and walking the dog. They are really thick and well padded but that means they retain the heat really well so you only need to have them turned on for a few minutes at a time. They are also waterproof so you dont have to worry when it starts to rain. They take normal batteries so its easy to replace them when they do eventually run out. I'm almost excited about the winter this year so I can get my gloves out again. Really great value for the amount of use I get out of them.

Extremely disappointing. Yet another poorly designed glove. The small to medium size fit a man who usually would size large or extra large so absolutely no use to women (even with glove liners, these are far, far too big) and no option to buy a smaller size. I would imagine most customers of these will be Raynaud's sufferers who are usually women. As well as not being able to draw them tight at the base of the wrist for this reason, there is no drawcord or even elastic at the top of the glove to ensure a close fit over the jacket it is being worn with - therefore allowing all the heat to escape! A simple, cheap measure employed in most standard, budget ski gloves which has been overlooked.

    Thermal gloves
Exciting prospect for my wife who gets bad Raynaud's in cold weather. However, these gloves didn't quite come up to the mark, to keep the insides of the gloves warm enough. Read more
