Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review:
In a nutshell:
Wario is back with more new ways to use the Wii Remote than you'd ever imagine. Whether it's balancing it on your head or chopping vegetables in mid-air this is one game where you'll literally never know what's coming next.

The lowdown:
Anyone that's played a previous Wario Ware game will have some idea of the insanity that awaits in this first Wii outing. Just like the portable versions the game contains over two hundred micro-games, most of which don't last any longer than five seconds. This provides the perfect excuse to use the Remote in as many ridiculous ways as possible, with each game using one of a dozen or so different ways of holding it, from the "waiter", where you hold it flat on your palm, to the "hula hoop" where you hold it against your hip. The actual games involve everything from picking someone's nose in 3D, to balancing an umbrella on your finger tips and replacing a granny's false teeth. It's just as silly as it sounds but easily the most instantly enjoyable game on the Wii.

Most exciting moment:
Like the GameCube game WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$, Smooth Moves also has a multiplayer mode for up to four people, as you both take turns with the single player games and join in together with specially made mini-games.

Since you ask:
Although there are a number of different modes the main single player campaign still includes a longer "boss battle" at the end of each set of themed micro-games. The only one that's been shown so far involves driving a car around using the remote and trying to avoid monkeys and cows on the road.

The bottom line:
The Wii Remote gets a through workout in the funniest Wario Ware yet.- HARRISON DENT

Product Description
The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology ... the Wii Remote. Wario and his pals learn fun, wacky moves after discovering a strange book and a mystical device called the Form Baton. Players must clear fast-paced sets of microgames, changing the way they hold the Wii Remote each time. As they do, theyll unlock more microgames and souvenirs. Features: WarioWare is back with a whole new set of moves. When WarioTM stumbles upon a strange device called a Form Baton, he and his friends use it to learn new moves that are as fun as they are wacky. With hundreds of microgames, this game is just as wild as youd expect from the name WarioWare, but the game play has been revolutionized. Under Warios tutelage, and with the help of the Wii Remote, players will swing, spin and squat their way to victory. With about 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. All players need is a Wii Remote and their best moves to be the champ. With games that are as much fun to play as they are to WATCH people play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves brings the party to its feet. Its hilarious for players and audiences alike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warioware Smooth Moves, 21 Aug 2007
By Stevie Bee (Liverpool, England) - See all my reviews
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This is a great, if bizarre game, it really is a lot of fun. You use the Wii remote in ways you probably would never have imagined (on your nose like a trunk, like a pencil to draw, on your hip to hula etc) to complete mini games.
At first the game is single player only. There is cartoon based story line, and each level has its own weird and wonderful mini story and animation. Each level contains around 10 to 20 mini games, each of which lasts about 5 seconds. There is then a `boss stage' game, which is slightly harder and longer (fighting a samurai, completing a dance routine etc.) you must pass to complete the level. The single player mode is fun, and is also a great way to get to know your Wii and its remote.
When you have completed enough levels (which doesn't take too long) the multiplayer option is unlocked.

It is in the multiplayer mode that the game is truly brilliant however. There are simple games such as darts and (very strange) flying a nose along and catching bogeys.
My favourite is Bungee Buddies - one player holds the Wii remote while the other holds the attached Nunchuk (the lead being the bungee rope...) You then have to jump over various obstacles, if one of you falls down a hole you drag the other back. It's incredibly simple but also incredibly enjoyable, a great party game with lots of people round.
There are also multiplayer games based around the mini games from the single player mode, the best being the race - players take it in turns to pass the remote and do a mini game and earn points. The end game then involves all players suspended over a river by ropes. Depending on your position in the race you have more ropes holding you up. Players then take it in turn to cut a rope - but can't tell whose rope you will cut. So if you come last in the race you can still win if everyone else runs out of ropes first. This mode is fun as it doesn't penalise people who aren't very good at the mini games.

Overall I'd say this game is must buy, its great fun and a great way to show off your Wii to all your friends and family.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE MOST FUNNIEST GAME ON THE Wii!, 18 Aug 2007
By Kevin Hall "WORLD EXPERT" (HADDINGTON, EAST LOTHIAN) - See all my reviews

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I was one of the unlucky ones who have never played any of Wario's minigame collections before on the GBA and DS... but now that I've played this Wii version I'm gonna hunt them down!

Using the Remote in lots of amusing ways, you will not stop grinning from ear to ear during the five second randomness of minigame Wario fun. From shaking the Remote up and down to sprint fast, to the point and insert grandma's teeth game, there are some genuienly hilarious surprises for you.

While the bonus games (apart from Tower Tennis) aren't much cop, the main mode has over 200 minigames and the graphics, while simple, are clear and bright.

All in all a brilliant package, and let's hope they get round to making another one soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Awesome!, 28 Aug 2007
By L. K. Griffiths (Somerset) - See all my reviews

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
At first I was suspicious of this game as the graphics on the back of the box appear quite simple, and I thought it looked quite childish. However, my partner and I decided to give it a go after reading amazon's own review and it's easily become our favourite game!

The mini games are only a few seconds long, and require both skill and concentration, unlike Mario Party 8, which often relies soley on luck to win. Wario offers so many new and innovative ways to use the wii remote, we've counted over 20 moves already and haven't unlocked everything yet. The zany graphics definately become part of its charm, and many of the micro games will have you in stiches as you hula, skip, grate, scan, hammer and pump your way through the levels.

Despite being only a one wiimote game, Wario Smooth Moves is as much fun to watch your friends play as it is play yourself, and we believe you can unlock the multi-player mode after completing the game in single player. It can be a little frustrating at first if you can't master a move, as you lose lives if you fail a micro game, however you are given the chance to practice these in a section accessible from the main menu map if you need to. Its an ages 7+ game for a reason as the co-ordination it often tricky, but a fun and challenging way, so not reccomended for littlies.

All in all, a must for your collection, an instant hit with all wii owners, as it really will make you appreciate how great the wii mote is!
