Dawn of War and it's expansion are by far the best RTS games ever made. I bought this game recently - amazon though were disgraceful.I orginally ordered it off amazon due to the great price - 3 weeks later (after a 1-2 delivery guarentee)they set the original date back by 1 month due to stock issues - so i ordered it off HMV. They were great and got the game in by 3 days!(www.hmv.co.uk) The game itself is absolutely fantastic. The original title is very good - it lacks the Imperial Guard; a whole new race introducted in Winter Assault. The 1st game has 12 long, action-packed, brilliant missions. On average, a mission can take 1-2 hours depending on how good you are at the game! I comepleted the 1st title in about 9 hours on a normal difficulty setting. The expansion, Winter Assault, is twice the difficulty and length. I am stuck on the 5th mission, out of 10. There are 2 sections to the campaign, order (Imperial Guard and Eldar) and Disorder (Orks and Chaos). I am on the final mission in order, and i tell you, the game tired me! 2 hours it took me per mission, as you can definately tell that Relic have increased the difficulty immensly in WA.
Overall, both titles possess great features and are by far the best games on the PC around; they are a must buy! Dawn of War: Graphics: 8/10 Some great details Life: 8/10 Long missions Gameplay: 9/10 Great Missions Sounds: 7/10 Fairly good war music - nice battle music effects Overall: 8/10 Winter Assault: Graphics: 9/10 wonderful enviroments and effects Life: 10/10 Takes at least 15-20 hours Gameplay: 9/10 Missions are wonderful Sound: 7/10 Same as the original - maybe less war cries Overall: 9/10 Dawn of War is a great game. With Winter Assault, it becomes simply the best RTS game on the PC - nothing even compares to it!

CAUTION! CD KEY PROBLEM,

This is an excellent game. Unfortunately, this particular edition of the game has a problem: the CD key on the back of the manual contains 5 sections of digits to enter, but during installation only 4 sections appear. No combination (such as typing in the first 4 sections or last 4) resolves it. I checked the forums and several other people have the same problem. THQ suggests you return the game for a refund or replacement until they find a way to fix it. If you want to buy this version (I think this applies only to the International version of the GOTY) be aware that you MAY face the same problem and may have to return it. The risk is yours.

Quite easily the best RTS game out there, even though it was released a few years ago. Not being a great Games Workshop fan, I was concerned this game would be a bit too, how can I say... 'geeky'. This is not the case, however, and the fantasy storyline and setting really give the game a great feel - it is easy to become immersed in the world of Warhammer 40000. The level of detail in the game is quite stunning - you can zoom in to see characters close up and the battle actions of the different infantry or vehicles are varied and impressive.
I highly recommend this detailed and engaging RTS game. I did not have any CD-Key problems with this version of the game. It installed and played first time.
