The best looking FPS on the PS2!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Warhammer 40,000 Fire Warrior (PS2) (Video Game)
Finally the PS2 has a decent FPS to call its own - one that can keep us tiding over until Killzone arrives at least. Firewarrior is not the smartest shooter on the block in terms of plot or gameplay, but then again it doesn't pretend to be. No complex storyline or oodles of puzzles to solve - instead, stacks of weapons, loads of enemies to kill, lots of explosions and gore, loads of levels and a pretty slick multiplayer game makes this one attractive little package. And the graphics are seriously good - just check around for the screenshots..! Awesome flame effects, level architecture, etc.Of course, if you're a Games Workshop fan, you will be drooling with excitement over this one :) Nothing quite like laying waste to a bunch of crazed chaos space marines!! Is it a Halo beater? Difficult to say - Its certainly not a bad addition to the FPS stable and without doubt the best FPS to hit the PS2 so far - a worthy addition to any game collection.

In the Grim Darkness of the Future There is Only War!,
This review is from: Warhammer 40,000 Fire Warrior (PS2) (Video Game)
Imagine Medal of Honour, but taken several thousand steps further, you then have fire warrior.Any fans of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game will recognise a lot of features amongst the levels and will probably also appreciate the effects of this games stunning armoury, from the rapid lasgun to the lethal pulse carbine. The graphics are truly stunning from the moment you set foot on the Tau star cruiser to the very end. As well as having a breathtaking, quick-paced single player option, you can always thrash your mates in the multiplayer game, a lot of fun guaranteed. All in all, an excellent game, which you should be out buying instead of wasting time reading this review!! FOR THE GREATER GOOD!
