An extremely helpful volume, with a short but comprehensive and to-the-point history of the Second World War. It also includes orders of battle and unit organisation charts for all the major countries (including Canada and Australia) along with information on building a wargames army for the conflict. Technical information for a plethora of vehicles and artillery take up a large chunk of pagespace. A helpful set of simple wargames rules and scenarios and a listing of commercial rules and figures companies finishes off the 'War on Land' section. Two shorter sections entitled 'The War at Sea' and 'The War in the Air, both also including rules and equipment lists complete an excellent book.
