This is a long overdue and much needed update of the 4th edition of this book. It offers a comprehensive and succinct overview of the modern anaesthetic department,including applied information technology, and monitoring depth of anaesthesia. The inspired choice of author (a pilot), offers a fascinating chapter on human error and machine interaction. As an Operating Department Practitioner/Lecturer I will most certainly be recommending this book to my students, though the price is somewhat prohibitive.

This would be indispensable for FRCA exam, the examiners expect you have read some of the topics atleast. The book is very exhaustive, and you don't really need to know all of it for the exams, so need to choose the important topics
