The idea of giant beasties stomping around major cities beating each other up and using tanks for boxing gloves is made digital reality in War of the Monsters More Power Stone than Tekken, the game doesn't feature tons of combos and moves but instead depends on the way you use the environment. Nearly everything--from fire engines to flagpoles--can be picked up and thrown or used as a cudgel and you can run around the large arenas as you will, climbing up buildings and hiding behind skyscrapers.
Indeed, in many ways War of the Monsters feels more like a real (in the Hollywood sense of the word) fight than many a more serious beat-'em-up, since combatants often break off their attack to go and find a health power-up or an extra weapon rather than just standing two inches in front of each other for the entire length of the barney.
Pretty much everything in the game works perfectly: the graphics are sharp and crisp, the environments and characters are varied and interesting and only the innate shallowness and odd split-screen two-player mode could possibly be considered drawbacks. --David Jenkins

War of the Monsters lets you relive your favourite monster movies with 10 different creatures engaging in all-out carnage. Ten fully interactive environments offer numerous weapons, including steel girders, radio antennas, moving vehicles, building rubble, army tanks, and more.
Clobber opponents with thunderous uppercuts, hand-to-hand weapons, and destructive special attacks. Use huge hunks of debris as a shield, topple buildings onto your foes, or pick up and throw tanker trucks like toys. Take advantage of environmental attacks such as tidal waves and earthquakes to defeat your opponent and claim total domination. Skilfully scale towering buildings, wage war on rooftops, and bring them crashing down.

the game i want to get!!!,

i think the game is brilliant , i only have the demo but it has kept me occupied 4 ages monsters fighting each other.There are brilliant graphics and very realistic gameplay u play as 10 diffrent characters battling in out in a huge arena throwing cars and debris at each other. You also face environmental things such as tidal waves, earthquakes and squishing ur opponents by knocking a building on them

This game is truly a tribute to b-movies, with 8 monsters and some to unlock (each with four costumes to unlock aswell). Each monster has unique secial attacks. The graphics are great with every building in the area able to be destroy, throw countless objects and the ability to throw your enemy at building. It's a great laugh. With up to 2 players. And 4 fighters in an arena at any time. The sounds are brilliant. Perfect music for the destrution and mayhem you can cause. If you like king-kong or godzilla this is a must have.

the kind of game where anything goes and so much the better.
a couple of the characters are obviously modelled on two of the most famous monsters in film history; namely king kong and godzilla. a great idea all the same. there is a choice of several characters where the idea, is to beat the other in a good old-fashioned punch-up. you can go one on one or have a free for all. there are some good moves to perform as well as picking up various objects to use against your opponent; car, part of a building, a plane etc. for me, there are two major bonuses; you can smash the buildings around you and also climb them. those moments really make it worthwhile. the only slight drawback, is that the whole thing feels rather limited. enjoyable though. the game has all the ingredients of a 50s sci-fi film, which suits it. worth playing if you love games involving monsters.
