I think I have probably now found four different series of My Story books and you have to be careful because some are repeated in a different format.
This particular book, another from Jim Eldridgeis the story of 14yrs old Paul Lelaud living in France at the time of the German occupation.
Paul and his friends are angry at the lack of revenge against these invaders of thier country, this comes to a head when early one morning they see a Jewish friend of thiers along with his family forced into a cattle truck on a train, Paul and his friends had no idea of the true horror of where thier friend would eventually end up.
One day Paul discovers that the uncle he lives with is a member of the French resistance, this uncle eventually allows Paul to join them, this results in many life or death missions, they would help British airman to escape, escaped prisoners of war and a German general who wants to defect, this is one of the better My Story books and a good read.
