3 Movies; Brotherhood is Korean (Set in the Korean War), 9 Company is Russian (Set in the Russo-Afganistan Conflict), Intimate Eneimies is French (Set in Algeria).
All offer a very fresh take on war movies.
Intimate Enemies is the best, a very strong and brutal movie about the French in Algeria in 1959. Great firefights and a well developed story on one mans change from an upright man to something he would detest. Recommended.
Brotherhood - Is surprising since the production values are very western and yet there are parts of the story that are different from a western outlook. The same team went on to make Assembly (Chinese set in the civil war after Workd War 2). A good war film.
9th Company is a Full Metal Jacketesque film, conscripts are followed through training, to the futility of war and a climax in an end battle. The first 2 parts are the better ones since I actually found the end battle sub par. But the training part was most excellent.
So if you are into War movies and haven't seen these three you are in for a treat. This is excellent value for money. Buy it.

This is a very good value anthology covering the Soviets in Afghanistan, French in Algeria and the Korean War from a Korean standpoint.
9th Company and Intimate Enemies are perhaps the closest in subject (both guerilla wars) but each has its own national flavour and its own demons. Brotherhood is a real potboiler of two brothers seeking to survive through the ups and down of the UN campaign in Korea; and it very effectively shows the elements of Civil War.
All three have lots of nice kit, some rather inaccurate moments, and a less than adulatory view of war.

I bought this collection simply on the strength of another foreign language war film call " Assembly " - which for me is one of the best films I have ever seen. This collection really delivers, strong and thought provoking film making with Brotherhood being my favourite of the three films.
Not only do you get fantastic action, not today's hollywood inspired CGI action, but good old fashioned action you also get fantastic acting, intelligent scripts and inspired film making. Well rounded films that need to be seen.
