This is another excellent blues cd from this accomplished duo. Mostly acoustic blues with five tracks with electric guitar and amplified harmonica. The covers are excellent and the self written tracks stand up well. Buy with confidence and seek out their other cds such as 'Moving to the country'.

Paul Rishell and Annie Raines Really Shine!!! 1 Dec. 2002
By peter krampert - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
The Blues Duet of Paul Rishell and Annie Raines has been wowwing audiences since the early 1990's. the pair plays mostly acoustic with some electric Blues thrown in for good measure. Paul Rishell is a master Blues guitarist who has studied the great guitarists of old and he's got the good taste of a seasoned veteran.
For those who have labored under the misconception that women can't play the harmonica, you'd better watch out for Annie Raines. Playing since she was seventeen, Annie can hold her own against any of her male counterparts. She's made a study of the acoustic and electric masters and is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
This recording features a lot of nice Blues covers with a few Rishell/Raines originals tossed in. The arrangements fit the songs beautifully, never too much, never too little. This recording also features guest appearances by John Sebastian, Jay Ungar and Ronnie Earl. All in all, this is definitely one album that you should add to your collection.

If you like that real country blues feeling this is it! 2 Aug. 1999

This album "I WANT YOU TO KNOW" contains the type of blues that is really satisfying. I have many blues CD's and I have listened to numerous blues recordings but the songs on this album are really special to me. Paul Rishell's guitar & lyrics combined with great harp from Annie Raines makes for some of the best country blues I have heard in a long time. I understand that they have another CD coming out soon. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. Keep up the good work and keep them coming.

I Want you to know 17 April 2000
By al caruso - Published on Amazon.com

Paul and Annie have made their best album together yet! Paul has a masterfull command of the blues that was evident even when we were growing up as kids and playing in bands in the Connecticut area in the mid sixties. I had the pleasure of jamming with Paul and Annie a few years ago at my home and her harp playing even then was the best I had heard and given her young age, was downright scarey! Now as evident on this latest release she has developed into a full blown harp monster! Together, Paul and Annie who share the lead vocal spots, along with Annie's harmonica and Pauls masterful blues guitar playing will give any blues lover a rare treat indeed. A must have!

Great acoustic country blues! 5 Aug. 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I first heard Paul Rishell and Annie Raines live, and they blew me away. This album, while not as amazing as the live experience, is terrific traditional acoustic country blues. Rishell's guitar and Raines's harp will certainly impress.
