Product Description

Jeff Garlin writes, directs, produces and stars in this Chicago-set independent comedy. James (Garlin) is a depressed, overweight bit-part actor who, at the age of 39, still lives with his mother and spends his spare time lying on the bonnet of his parked car, walking the streets looking at architecture with his friend Luca (David Pasquesi) and dodging his Compulsive Eaters Anonymous meetings. What will it take for James to make a career for himself, move out of his mother's house... and find someone special to eat cheese with?

5.0 out of 5 stars a gentle curb 11 Feb 2010
By J. Webb
Format:DVD
This is a great, warm, funny movie. It's basically Curb Your Enthusiasm style but with the venom taken out - which, as much as I love Larry David and Curb, isn't a bad thing. From the great, funny scenes with his mother, to his meandering conversations with his friends, the excellent Jeff Garlin walks us around his Chicago life - when the film ended, I could've taken another couple of hours! Sarah Silverman is great as ever, and look out for a cameo from 'Homer' Dan Castellaneta.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why so short? 28 Feb 2010
By C. J. P
Format:DVD
This is a strange and quirky film, a bit like its title. Its inoffensive, light hearted, amusing and has a couple of laugh out loud moments.
But ... and it a big but, its very short so when it ends its a kind of 'oh is that it moment' and ultimately the film was unrewarding.

1.0 out of 5 stars Where was my DVD? 28 Oct 2010
Format:DVD
I had originally seen this DVD in HMV though after managing to lose track of it I found it here on Amazon, as I have a close friend who practically lives off cheese (being a vegetarian who doesn't like veg.) So after purchase and receiving my confirmation of order letter, weeks on, still no DVD :( Help? I'm coming to the conclusion that their has been an honest mistake somewhere along the journey of Salesman to Customer, but as the Post Office hold no recollection, is there any way this problem could be resolved?:(
