I think it's unfair to say to ignore this album, just take a look at the date it was released. Their are good, catchy pop songs, that are typical of the era, and yes, the Wannadies are far better quality now, but it was a good foundation to base the rest of the career on. If you're a fan this is a must have, just due to the importance. If you're not a fan, try starting with "Bagsy Me" or "Yeah"...

i am surprised at the bad reviews of this album, i really like it, along with most of the other wannadies stuff. together sounds to me like when you meet someone really great and wonder if fate put you together, heaven follows on from this and is about how good it can be when you're in love. my home town is the highlight of the album, i never tire of this song, although i can't relate to it living in a busy town/city in england, i can imaging how par must feel about his quiet town in sweden. things you love is about keeping a lover away from their other interests so you can have them all to yourself... a slightly selfish thing to do par! but i know what you mean! how beautiful is about coming across a drunk one night fascinated by the moon....innocent me is about par hating being innocent.. not one of the better tracks. so many lies is another poor track. back to form with smile about how great it is when a lovely but uncontented person finally smiles 'big blue eye smile'. 'anything' is nice but doesnt go anywhere. as another reviewer said, black waters is kinda turgid, but its not that bad. beast cures the lover is a great song and ending to the album, i'm not sure what its about though! i've never liked the children of the revolution song and this cover hasnt changed my opinion, and the go betweens cover lee remick is pretty good, but again is a bit of a throwaway song.
