Book Description

The first tale of Ethanar

Aneira has been wandering the lands since her tribe vanished, eight years ago. One day she hopes to find them and get back to a normal life. In the mean time she has to make the most of any help she’s offered along the road, but she isn’t prepared for what might happen when she decides to help back, or when she’s prevented from running away.

This is a short fantasy story of one girls only desire – to belong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Golden glory 16 Mar. 2013

Absolutely loved it. Can't say much without giving the plot away, but I will say that the story did not end as I expected, it had a far better and greater ending that the one I thought it would have. Another excellent story from this great author.

I don't often read such short books but having read the reviews I made an exception which I am very glad I did
Never have I read a book so short and yet so adventure packed and thrilling
I will most definitely read this book again and will be looking for the sequels

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!!! 16 Aug. 2013
By Janie
Format:Kindle Edition
I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.

This was a fantastic tale, although a short story.
I loved how Aneira felt she needed to rescue the villager's after they had been so warm and welcoming to her!
With a horde of evil goblins to get rid of, will she achieve it???
The twist in this tale is the dragon and what side he will take.
The ending was a surprise but extremely good.

What surprises me most was that this is the 6th book I have read by this author and yet she never ceases to amaze me, she always makes you feel like you're right there in the book!!!
I can't wait to see what she writes next!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Definding the good 25 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Short story about a very tough girl growing up and finding the place where she belongs.

The story tells in a lively way how the girl goes from being desperate to find even the most necessary things in life, to finding a vocation to make wrongs whole and in doing so stumbling upon the one thing she never expected: a place she could call home.

The tale has a lot of action and some surprising angles in it, enough to keep you reading all the way to the end.

A book I would advise to people that like fantasy stories and fairy stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiery 13 Oct. 2013

You'll enjoy this story. It's a fun read, with a good deal of action, and even more human pathos. Mountifield has reimagined the space of fantasy epic in miniature in this story in an intriguing new way. I found myself hoping there'd be a sequel, or perhaps another way to enter this story-space.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for 13 Oct. 2013

In between work, spy novels, and studying for the LSATs, I like to have some books that just let my mind take a break for a little while. Wandering to Belong did that for me. Before this book, it had been a while since I read anything with dragons and goblins and I figured this would be a fun, light read. It definitely was. This was a well-written short book that I read in a few short breaks at work. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take a break from what's going on around them for a while. I also have to add that the cover looks amazing.

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. This review may contain spoilers. Aneira is a young woman searching for a place to call home. Aneirs stumbles upon a village gobilns have been picking on for years. Aneira decides to fight back for the village. With the help of Cathal she puts up a fight. But is it enough? Amazing story!!
