I am now about half way through watching this series and it is excellent, I had thought that all the series would be more about the war but I have just now got to the attack on Pearl Harbour and it wasn't mentioned too much upto then.
It is sad without Grandpa and Grandma isn't in quite as much but still an excellent series and I will go on and buy the next series.

THE WALTONS - Series 5THE WALTONS - Series 6THE WALTONS - Series 7These episodes take me back to the "good old days" along with the previous 4 DVDs .... am looking forward to series 8 and 9 being available in Region 2 format. 'The Waltons' are rather dated but 'nice and gentle' compared to all the horrors of daily news, science fiction and thrillers available today.
