Having lived in the Dordogne for nine years and been charmed by the wonderful warmth of its people, the breathtaking scenery and sense of history of the region and the delicious food and wine, for which it is so famous, I was absolutely delighted to find Kimberley Lovato's beautiful book, "Walnut Wine and Truffle Groves".
Turning the pages has taken me back to the Dordogne that I know and love. The book is not only beautiful, it is a wonderful recipe book and an interesting read. The stories of the people who spend their lives in the pursuit of excellence in the creation of wonderful food or wine are fascinating. I thoroughly recommend the book to lovers of France and of authentic French food.

I'm so happy I bought this book! A combination cook book/coffee table book and a great read; the photos, the recipes, and the profiles of the interesting characters of the region come alive. I've already tried some of the recipes, and now have to convince my husband that the Dordogne should be our next vacation destination.
