When the police are called to investigate an abandoned container lorry they find it filled with dead bodies, including those of children. Human trafficking and a complicated ring of suspects, each part of a larger puzzle, emerge as the investigation unfolds.
Kurt finally gets a lead from an unlikely source, a group of local nuns, and a sports fan who fails to completely hide his true identity. But the case isn't over until Kurt can figure out who is really behind the smuggling.

A bulldozer careens wildly down a sandy road and tips over on the beach. The driver is dead and the cab stinks of gin. Although a confirmed alcoholic, the autopsy shows the man was sober when he died.
Kurt, Linda and Stefan start their investigation by examining the background of the man, who had made a career from digging. They are led to a ruined castle where they discover a buried clue that is integral to the case. The team is working together better than ever, but beneath the surface, something remains unspoken and it could thwart justice.

Format:DVD
The final episodes of the Swedish series tackle strong subjects, from people trafficking to sex trafficking, drugs, child abuse and the greed of lovers of money. All are covered here. But with such style and superb acting. It is worth checking on the internet for these DVD'S as I bought mine direct from Sweden-brand new sealed packaging for much less that the US sellers here.
For those who have watched the series from episode 1 (see my other reviews) the underlying stories weave their way to the very end. The final episode-'Hemligheten' brings Stefan Lindman's story to a dramatic and searingly sad and upsetting finale--I defy you to watch witout a huge lump in your throat. Pure unadulterated CLASS. So far superior to anything we do in the UK- the closest in class would perhaps be Philip Madoc as Noel Bain in 'Mind to Kill'. If 'Jack Frost' and Tom Barnaby' are your idea of brilliant detectives Wallander is NOT for you...if on the other hand you want something to stimulate your brain...watch and enjoy.
