5.0 out of 5 stars The REAL Wallander 19 Dec 2011
This last boxed set of Wallander is excellent-
21-26 dvd's
excellent acting (especially Krister
Henriksson)
excellent camera-work
excellent story-lines
a Quality Production.

I hope there are more on the way!
The sub-titles at least keep up with the action (of which there is plenty!!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Classy, gripping viewing! 6 Jun 2012
This is very classy, subtle yet hard-hitting television at its best. Authentic characters and beautifully acted. I am so sad to have watched all of them now, I defy anyone not to enjoy this series. Totally brilliant!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent series 24 Feb 2012

Thoroughly enjoyed this series as I have the others, and hope that Krister Henriksson hasn't tired of doing further episodes. Very gripping but entirely realistic and the final episode closes a chapter in his life - poor Kurt! And just love Marianne Morck as Ebba, not a huge part but she is brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars At last 14 Jun 2011
We have so enjoyed all of the Wallander series, and to find the rest of the second series is to be published with English sub-titles, is wonderful. Thank you to whoever saw sense and made this happen!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good content but poor 'packaging'. 26 Jun 2011
I am very pleased to see that sense has prevailed and that the rest of the Swedish Series 2 will now be available with English sub-titles. However, it would have been even more satisfactory if the box cover illustration had been taken from Series 2 and not Series 1! Close inspection of the cover illustration shows Krister Henricksson and Johanna Sallstrom in a scene from the first series, probably from Number 9 ( The container lorry). This is particularly unfortunate, bearing in mind that the character played by Johanna Sallstrom - i.e. Linda Wallander - was dropped from Series 2,following the former's suicide in 2007. This lapse seems casual, unprofessional and insensitive.

5.0 out of 5 stars what a shame it had to end! 26 Jun 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the last of the Wallander series with Krister Henrikkson in the title role. In the first of this group of dramas, the cast appeared to be a little disunited, but that impression disappeared with the succeeding stories. Alas, at the end of episode 26 we find Wallander on the train to Stockholm and an undefined future, but possibly with his charming boss as his companion. The whole series has been greatly enjoyable right from the very begining and as time goes by, can be seen again and again.
The Swedish series stands in noteworthy contrast to the poor UK imitation with Branagh as Wallander, which were really all about Branagh, rather than Wallander.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great - but a pity about the overlaps 2 Sep 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm delighted that the whole of the second series of Wallander is now coming out on DVD with English sub-titles. However, as someone has already pointed out, episodes 14-17 have been available for some time with English sub-titles and I already have this box set (along with the whole of Series 1). However, I shall buy the two new box sets as they are released, despite the unfortunate overlap. I paid well over the odds to get some of Series 1 as they became difficult to obtain so I'm not complaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nordic Excellence 24 Dec 2011

Another excellent series of Wallander episodes. Good plots, well acted and photographed. If only British and American drama were not in a downward spiral compared to the Nordic high standards in the Killing and the Wallander series.

Loved the tv series of this, liked the Swedish series most even though there was a English series. The Swedish ones seem more in depth.
